Super nice book and beautifully illustrated A+A+A+. The is a catalog of a fine old collection made by a wealthy collector. The odds of finding such items today except in in a few international auctions is probably less than being struck by lightning - on a clear day.. While there are many pretty pictures of rare items, the book is of limited value to a collector of today in a market awash with reproductions. Always been curious about Chinese porcelain, but after having seen this book on Amazon and reading about the collection of Sir Percival David it makes a difference learning about how this man learned, studies and had a great eye for Chinese porcelain, indeed it takes one years to develop a certain eye of knowing the real thing from the fake, it took years of study I am sure but it is also true that the man must have had an eye for the BEST of the BEST.
